What is a good Domain Authority score?
DA is relative. New sites start at 1; a DA of 20–30 is normal for a young site, 40–50 is solid, and 60+ usually means a well-established site with strong backlinks. Compare against competitors in your niche rather than chasing an absolute number.
Is DA a Google ranking factor?
No. DA is a third-party metric made by Moz that predicts ranking ability. Google does not use it, but it correlates with the link signals Google does use, which is why SEOs rely on it.
